1/7/2024 0 Comments Tegan lee lane![]() The Stuart Kendrick-trained WIN BURN (3) showed promise early in his career placing in good Saturday company and beating Ranch Hand home when having his second start. Verdict- Might be BLUE RAY (2)'s turn to break through. This bigger track and 1400m will be right up his alley and Tiff Brooker will have him in the box seat throughout.ĮNTERPRISE JEWEL (7) will be improved by her debut outing at Ipswich and the bigger track may suit, She is well drawn and will get all the favours with Ben Thompson.ĬANNY IMPACT (1) has had his chances but may have found 1600m just beyond him last start and there will be no excuses with Jim Orman from gate one.īALTRAY (4) finished on UNO WHAT I'M SAYIN (3)'s heels at Ipswich and will get every chance with Michael Cahill from a good gate. UNO WHAT I'M SAYIN (3) hasn't had much luck at his three outings and was cramped for room at Ipswich last start. He returns to his home track, will appreciate 1400m and with a clean getaway will be hard to hold out. He was hampered at the start last outing but fought on in a strong Maiden at Doomben. None of these leap off the page but David Vandyke is always hard to beat at the provincials and BLUE RAY (2) has done enough at his two outings to warrant attention. ![]() Race 4- Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1400m Verdict- The class is with MISS DIVINE EM (2). A good gate and Jake Molloy's 2kg claim help his chances. QUACKERY (5) was held up when resuming at Rockhampton and whilst his second-up record is of some concern he won his only previous start at this track and distance. She has speed and will be prominent for Kyle Wilson-Taylor. She improves second-up and has an excellent record at this track and distanceĪPPLE TART (4) was too good on the poly here last start but takes on older horses and is yet to win on the turf here. She needs soft ground but her Victorian form is up to this and Tegan Harrison will give her a positive ride.ĭEJANOVA (3) was unsighted in a Class 5 won by the stablemate when resuming but has trialled since. Verdict- My dart has landed on PARIS AVENUE (6).Īdam and Dallas Simpson have taken over the training of MISS DIVINE EM (2) and she finished close-up in much stronger company than this at her first start for the stable here over this trip. SIMPLY BETTER (7) has had two quiet trials but is bred for speed and the Kelly Schweida/Jim Orman combination has long been fruitful. YES TO EXCESS (11) has only had the one trial but Kyle Wilson-Taylor has opted to ride it over the other more experienced Chris Anderson runner WICKED CHANCE (10) which may indicate she has ability. LA SOUER (4) was a beaten favourite on debut at Grafton but will have benefited from that experience and should be prominent from the inside draw. She will get every chance with Ben Thomson and a good gate. The O'Dea/Hoysted stable can do no wrong and PARIS AVENUE (6) has looked sharp at her trials. Race 2- Two-Year-Old Fillies Maiden Handicap 1000mĪnother lottery with little revealed form to recommend. Verdict- Take your pick but I will go with HEMSBY (2). Experience counts and he could make his presence felt. PRIMED FOR VICTORY (8) was immature at his first preparation but has looked more settled in trials this time in. He is awkwardly drawn but may have the speed to overcome the gate. LARRIKIN ROGUE (4) won a trial by a big space at Eagle Farm. He gets a tongue-tie on debut and could show up with Ben Thompson to ride. GALAXY GENERAL (1) is well-bred type from the Lee Freedman yard. With Kyle Wilson-Taylor and a good gate he will get all the favours. Race 1- Two-Year-Old Colts and Geldings Maiden Handicap 1000mĪn absolute lottery with most being first starters and little revealed form of note amongst the rest.īarry Lockwood can produce one first-up and HEMSBY (2) has looked sharp at both his trials. With fine weather forecast the track should be no worse than soft and with the rail out four metres, all horses will get their chance though riders will be coming to the crown in the straight in search of the fast lanes.īig fields in most races will make it tricky and it looks very much a ‘follow the money' meeting.
